About the Book
The Three Hungry Microbes is a children’s book co-authored by Cuifen Pui and Dorcas Tang. It is a playful story about three hungry soil microbes and their unexpected adventure. They explore a hot compost heap and return to find their home in the soil transformed into a lively ecosystem.
Inspired by Cuifen’s experience in community composting, and brought to life with Dorcas' whimsical illustrations, the story highlights the magic of aerated hot composting and ecological gardening practiced by people around Singapore.
This puzzle highlights two fun scenes: microbes eating a variety of food scraps in a hot compost heap, and microbes celebrating life in a living soil ecosystem.
